Collie
Just like Lassie, one of the most famous dogs of all, Collies are elegant, loyal and very responsive to humans (which proved to be very helpful when Timmy fell in the well).
The breed has been around for centuries. It is thought to have originated in Scotland and England, where Collies led cows and sheep to the marketplace. Their popularity soared in the 1860s, when Queen Victoria became enamored with the breed while visiting Scotland.
There are two varieties of Collies: Rough (with a full coat, like Lassie’s) and Smooth (with a short, dense coat).
