Toda Mi Vida Been Searching for this Pittie (Adopt-A-Dog Day 30)

vida_labpit_headshot Adopt-A-Shelter Dog Month is one day shy of ending and it’s only fitting that today’s adoptable dog should be named “Vida”, meaning “life” in Latin/Spanish. So many of the adoptable dogs this month have come from very rough beginnings, but continue to love with bright eyes, hanging tongues, and wagging tails. They are all looking for homes where they’ll be allowed to finally live fully and freely. Twenty-nine dogs have so far been featured on i Love Dogs and all are ready to live happily with you.

Today’s adoptable dog is a little girl that’s on her journey towards the perfect home, and she’s doing it all on three happy paws. Vida will steal your heart with one look into her multi-colored eyes!

Vida’s Ruff Rescue: At 14-weeks-old this Pitador (Pitbull/Labrador mix) has already come a long way. Vida was found by her foster daddy crouched for safety behind a trash bin in a Central Los Angeles park. It was obvious to her foster dad that Vida had been the victim of a hit and run a few days earlier because one of her legs was severely hurt. Vida was in tons of pain. Luckily, her foster dad was a superman type of guy and took her to the vet right away.

There, little Vida’s leg had to be amputated to save her life. Thankfully, she now feels all better and is happy and more playful than ever! vida_labpit_puppy

Vida’s Fave Toy: Vida’s favorite toy is her little stuffed lion that she carries with her everywhere. The little lion gives her lots of comfort.

Best Buddies: There’s nothing like a human for a best buddy, but wouldn’t you be best buddies with your human if they saved your life? It’s no wonder Vida’s snuggled up close to her foster parents who got her off the streets and into a cozy home.

Silliest Pup Moves: Vida’s a little gal who doesn’t let anything stop her, not even missing a leg. She hops around as if nothing’s wrong at all!

Sweetest Pup Moments: Got a sturdy, but cozy lap? Great! Vida will curl right up into it for nap time; feel free to join her for the snooze.

Puparrazi Buzz: This pup’s so unique she’s in style and all the rage. One Karma Rescue worker said, “She is so cute, so loving, so awesome, so determined, you name it, it’s her!”

Pawfect Furever Home: Vida is looking for a home where the humans are patient, have time, and have lots of love to give. Vida doesn’t want to be treated any more differently than any other dog, she wants a home that will teach her doggie manners and see just how normal and rambunctious she truly is!
