Vitamins and minerals are essential nutrients for life. They are involved in many complex processes such as growth, energy production, digestion, reproduction, blood clotting, cell protection, and fighting infections. i Love Dogs MULTIVITAMIN with Green Tea & Reishi also contains amino acids, digestive enzymes & ginseng to support overall health.
Supplementing your dog’s diet with vitamins and minerals is essential if you are feeding your dog a home-cooked diet and/or processed pet food. Research has found that vitamins and minerals can be beneficial at levels more than the minimum daily requirements, so even if you feed your dog a balanced diet, they can still benefit from supplementation, helping to ensure optimum health for your dog.
“A dog with a daily active lifestyle can benefit from a multivitamin to help make sure that its muscles stay strong, eyes stay clear, and his coat stays glossy,” said Taylor Truitt, DVM, CVA. ”Older animals can benefit from a multivitamin to help prevent the stressors of aging.”
Among the benefits of vitamins and minerals are:
- Glossy, healthy coat
- Healthy skin
- Overall good health
- Help stimulate appetite
- Promote bone growth
- Ensure proper clotting of blood
- May prevent birth defects
- Ensure good eyesight
- Promote good healing
- Ensure good immunity

Decaffeinated Green Tea Extract
We use decaffeinated green tea in all our products. This does not mean there is no caffeine in the tea, but according to FDA standards, it has had at least 97 percent of its caffeine removed.
In fact, our green tea extract has only 0.4-percent caffeine, which has a negligible effect on dogs. It is also made up of 95.1-percent tea polyphenols with 37.1-percent EGCG. This means it’s a high quality extract. Furthermore, it’s sourced from non-genetically modified green tea leaves.

i Love Dogs MULTIVITAMIN with Green Tea & Reishi FAQ
Is it okay to feed i Love Dogs MULTIVITAMIN with Green Tea & Reishi to my puppy, adult or senior dog?
Yes! Our MULTIVITAMIN with Green Tea & Reishi was formulated for dogs at any stage of life. Puppies, adult and senior dogs have slightly different needs when it comes to maintaining dietary balance, however, the MULTIVITAMINwith Green Tea & Reishi meets or exceeds the needs for all three life stages.
My dog seems healthy enough – does he still need a multivitamin?
Because your dog doesn’t produce vitamins naturally, he needs to obtain them from either diet or supplementation. Our multivitamin helps ensure normal body functions in healthy dogs, but also proves valuable for those with dietary imbalances or specific nutritional needs.
Should I give my dog a multivitamin if he’s on a diet?
High quality light foods generally contain adequate vitamins and minerals. If you are feeding your pet less of his regular food, you may want to supplement with a multivitamin.
Can I give my dog too many vitamins?
Toxicities generally don’t occur when you give your dog the recommended amount of vitamin supplements. However, if you give a variety of supplements, each containing Vitamin A or D, over-supplementation is more likely to happen. Be sure to check with your veterinarian before adding supplements if he’s currently taking a large number of varying supplements.
Is green tea safe for my dog?
Green tea is highly regarded for its health-promoting benefits. The green tea in our supplements is decaffeinated (99% of the caffeine has been removed), natural, non-genetically modified and safe.
Can I use i Love Dogs MULTIVITAMIN with Green Tea & Reishi with other medications?
Check with your veterinarian before using any type of supplement if your dog is being treated for any medical condition.
