Hotel Maya and i Love Dogs Co-hosting Mojitos & Mutts!

In March, Hotel Maya and i Love Dogs co-hosted a hugely successful TweetUp in Long Beach to benefit spcaLA. While we managed to raise nearly $500 and a whopping 1,170 pounds of food in total, everyone who attended raved about how much fun they had at the dog-friendly event. Dog parents and their four-legged friends all had a blast mingling with their fellow like-minded pet lovers.
So Hotel Maya and i Love Dogs are teaming up once again to host a series of summertime events starting on Wednesday, June 30, until October, when we’ll hold our Howl’oween bash! Events are taking place on the last Wednesday of every month, so they will be easy to mark on your calendar and plan ahead.
In keeping with the tradition of both giving and partying, our summer series kick-off event on June 30 will benefit the Long Beach Animal Care Service’s “A Toy for Every Animal” KONG drive. If you can, please bring a new KONG toy to the event for the needy animals waiting for their furever homes at Long Beach Animal Care Service. The KONG Company has generously agreed to match the toy donations raised at Mojitos & Mutts! If you can’t bring one, you’re more than welcome show your support by simply attending!
All the events are of course dog-friendly and Hotel Maya’s popular Fuego restaurant will offer an exclusive events-only menu that includes 10 Cane Rum mojitos and yummy human treats. Pup-Peroni is providing the doggie treats, which will be handed out in our special gift bags that will also include goodies from companies like Worldwise and FIDO Friendly for you and your pooch!
In addition to Howl’oween, other future Mojitos & Mutts events will include doggie fashion shows, a costume contest and prizes from partners like FURminator!
So bring your friends and your “best friends” and benefit some animals while you’re having fun!
