If you’ve ever stopped by an i Love Dogs booth at a trade show or event, you’ve probably seen our purple nylon leash next to our gear and vitamins. Generally, we sell them for a nominal fee and donate the proceeds to animal rescue.
Fortunately for us—and for rescue animals—the leash looks pretty cool so we sell a lot of them when we’re out and about. We’re thrilled because that means people not only love our leash, but it also means more money for homeless animals!
Because it’s so popular, we’ve decided to make it available to our online readers. In keeping with the tradition of donating the leash’s profits to good works, we’re donating $1 out of the $3 price tag to an animal rescue or wellness charity.
To help as many groups as possible, we’re going to rotate the beneficiaries and get as much money as as we can out to the animals who need it most. We’re starting with our good pals at the spcaLA, with whom we recently partnered for our first TweetUp at the Hotel Maya last March. When we heard they were having a pet food shortage, we sprang into action and hosted a drive at Hotel Maya, where we raised a grand total of 1,170 pounds of dog food.
“We’re thrilled to be working with spcaLA again,” said Martha Smith, general manager of i Love Dogs. “Their commitment to animals and our community is second to none. We’re determined to raise as much money as possible for this group and others like during these lean times.”
So why do you want the i Love Dogs lead? (Other than helping rescue pooches, of course.) It’s constructed of heavy duty nylon in our signature purple and features our paw-and-bone logo, website and i LOVE DOGS in white for a crisp and attractive contrast. The lead also features a sturdy metal clip for fastening to a collar, and double stitching.
In keeping with the preferences of our Ask A Trainer, Eugenia Vogel, and our veterinary ambassador, Dr. Patrick Mahaney, the leash measures 5 feet long so it’s the perfect length to keep your pooch under control.
