Help Gia Snuggle into Your Home

Gia

Gia is less than a year old, but this sweet pup definitely knows how to act her age.
This Pit Bull-American Staffordshire Terrier mix loves giving kisses and snuggling in laps.

Gia was found wandering the streets by Canine Crusaders in Redondo Beach, Calif., but since the rescue had limited capacity, the young pup had to be taken to a public shelter. This means that Gia could be euthanized if the shelter runs out of room.

Gia is a loving dog who melts in people’s arms like a baby. The shelter thinks she has gone through the trauma of having puppies that were taken away from her. It’s likely that Gia didn’t have a loving home, but deep in her heart, she kept all the love that she has to give. A tad shy at first, she likes to play and loves to be close to people. She also likes to go for rides in the car.

Every Friday, i Love Dogs spotlights a homeless dog as part of our i Love Dogs Rescue Network effort to find furever homes for these pooches.

I chose Gia because this month’s i Love Dogs breed spotlight is on Pit Bull Terriers, who often get a bad rap and are abandoned at shelters. Gia is a great example of the other side of Pit Bulls that many dog lovers already know.
