Starting this week, the Hollywoof Reporter is scooting over to “Woof” Wednesdays! Today we have the pooch scoop on these celebrities and their dogs:
- Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Have a Doggie Date!
- Kevin and Danielle Jonas Tweet Pup Pics
- Bret Michaels is Designing Pet Products?!
You probably heard the heartbreaking news yesterday that Leonardo DiCaprio and Blake Lively, who have been dating since May, have split up. Could the reason be that Lively and her “Green Lantern” co-star, Ryan Reynolds, might be heating things up off screen with a little puppy love?
According to NYDailyNews.com, Lively has been staying with Reynolds in the Boston apartment he’s renting while shooting the movie, “R.I.P.D.” The two were spotted a few days before DiCaprio confirmed the breakup to US Weekly.
A source told NYDailyNews.com that the actors have gone on “doggie dates.” Lively’s Maltese, Penny, has been getting cozy with Reynolds’ 2-year-old mutt, Baxter.
Maybe the pooch connection can help improve this pair’s unluckiness in love. Reynolds went through some heartache of his own when he divorced actress Scarlett Johansson last December.
We have more dog dirt this week about celebrity couples experiencing puppy love. Kevin Jonas, of the Jonas Brothers, and his wife, Danielle, will celebrate their two-year anniversary in December, and their marriage still looks as strong as ever.
On Sunday, Kevin shared a photo of the pair cuddling their Morkie, Riley, with a tweet that simply said, “#perfect.”
Riley became part of the Jonas family just after the couple’s honeymoon in Mexico.
“She usually sleeps with us, between our two heads,” Kevin told PEOPLEPets.com last year. The trio has stayed inseparable ever since. Hopefully Riley will get to go on the road with Kevin if and when the Jonas Brothers start touring again.
Bret Michaels, the Poison singer and reality TV star with the perpetual bandana, is designing a line of pet products with PetSmart, according to MSN.com.
The Bret Michaels Pets Rock collection will be available in stores next summer.
“Adding the Bret Michaels Pets Rock collection to PetSmart stores enables us to continue to meet our pet parents’ needs with a ‘cool’ line of products from an entertainer with a demonstrated passion for our four-legged family members,” Matt McAdam, PetSmart’s VP of merchandising, told MSN.com.
Michaels, for his part, called the deal “a natural partnership for me. I know my own pets rock, and I wanted to design a line of pet products every bit as fun and cool as they are.”
Hopefully the rocker designs something other than red, blue or black bandanas that are dog-friendly!
