Four Dogs from Pacific Coast Dog Rescue Ready for Adoption

This week we’re featuring four dogs available for adoption from Pacific Coast Dog Rescue (PCDR), a non-profit charity founded in 1998 this is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing dogs in need.

Corgi, Golden Retriever, Shepherd, Husky and Akita mix

Charlie Bear

Ol’ Charlie Bear is a Corgi-Golden Retriever-Shepherd-Husky-Akita mix. Phew – that’s a whole lotta dog!

Charlie Bear is a special-needs boy. He suffers from a herniated disk and uses a special doggie cart to get around. But don’t worry, Charlie Bear has no other issues or problems whatsoever. He loves his “wheels,” and according to PCDR, is even eager to use them, as he loves his walks and playtime.

Charlie Bear is affectionate, housetrained, neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on his vaccinations.

Breed: Golden Retriever-Shepherd-Husky-Akita mix
Age: Adult
Personality: Very playful with a lot of energy; he is also good with other dogs

Sparky

Sparky is a Pit Bull with special needs. Blind since birth, this lovable boy was completely paralyzed until three years ago. Sparky got the surgery he needed and learned to walk again.

This beautiful dog has a genuine love of life, people and dressing up – that’s right – Sparky loves to dress up. His favorite costumes are that of an airplane pilot and beach dude.

Sparky loves belly rubs, soft pillows and walks. He is housetrained, neutered, microchipped and current on his vaccinations.

Age: Adult
Personality: Gentle soul that adores people and other dogs

Lovebug

Lovebug is a Pit Bull whose sole mission in life is to give kisses!

She loves her walks, but also loves being a couch potato. Lovebug enjoys car rides and treats as well.

She is housetrained, spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on her vaccinations.

Breed: Pit Bull
Age: Adult
Personality: The name says it all, she is as sweet as can be and good with other dogs

Tommy

Tommy is a Mastiff-Boxer mix, but don’t let that fool you – he is considered low maintenance.

Listed as a senior, Tommy still has energy for walks and car rides, but won’t put up a fight if you want to snuggle. According to PCDR, “Tommy is the perfect combination of house dog and fun exercise partner.”

Tommy is housetrained, neutered, microchipped and current on his vaccinations.

Breed: Mastiff-Boxer mix
Age: Senior
Personality: Well-rounded pooch that loves to go on walks and snuggle

I chose to feature these four dogs because they’ve been at the Pacific Coast Dog Rescue for entirely too long and no dog, especially ones like these, should spend his life in a cage.
