Beast Walks Facebook Founder’s Bride Down the Aisle

The new Mrs. Mark Zuckerberg was escorted down the aisle at her wedding last Saturday by a beast – not the Facebook founder, but Beast, the couple’s year-old Puli.

According to MailOnline.com, guests were led to believe they were attending a surprise party for Priscilla Chan, Zuckerberg’s girlfriend of nine years, to celebrate her receiving a degree in pediatrics from the University of California, San Francisco.

Surprise! The couple had planned the wedding for months. During the low-key ceremony held in their Palo Alto, Calif., backyard, the couple recited their own vows and Zuckerberg gave Chan a ruby wedding ring he designed himself. Guests then feasted on Mexican and Japanese food, and were entertained by wedding singer Billy Joe Armstrong of Green Day.

The newlyweds adopted their furkid Beast in March 2011. Of course the pooch has his own Facebook page, which has more than a half million “Likes.”

Apparently Beast has been too busy with wedding plans to spend much time on the social network. His last status update was on April 16, when he was “Waiting patiently for dad to say I can eat this delicious piece of steak.”

Hopefully the Zuckerberg marriage is off to a better start than the initial public offering of Facebook stock, which tanked on the market this week.
