Default Share your favorite DFE!

A "DFE" is a "Dog Friendly Establishment" - a place that welcomes your dog through their front door! Maybe it's a cafe, a hotel, your local hair salon, your favorite dress shop or even a beach or park near your place.

Share your favorite DFE with everyone, and find out about some places you maybe didn't know were dog friendly, and next time you head out to do some shopping or eat out, you can take Buddy or Daisy with you!

Default dfe's

My husband and I recently took our yorkies to the Cypress Inn in Carmel by the Sea, CA. It is a boutique hotel owned by Doris Day. It is 100% pet friendly. They have a cafe area in the foyet where doggies can eat and socialize, next to the restaurant/bar. There is a pet menu, and the chef will bring the food out crumbled up (chicken in our case) in a doggie bowl they can eat at the table with you. The rooms have pet blankets and pet turn down service. It costs about 250+ a night, plus $30/per pet. The rooms are a bit claustrophobic, but the doggies enjoyed it. It is about 6 blocks from the beach.

Glen Rose Inn and Suites
300 SW BIG BEND TRAIL
GLEN ROSE, TX 76043

This is a great motel to stay at if you have dogs. The pet fee is a low flat rate of $25.00, and the staff are all dog owners/lovers. There are plenty of places in the area to run/walk your family members, and several shows throughout the year in town and neighboring communities.

Default Hotel Friendly

I am the General Manager for a hotel in Sierra Vista, AZ. I actually live in Tombstone if any of you are familiar with the area. We are very pet friendly whe I am able I bring my dog to work. The owner loves dogs. (I have eight). We only charge a one time fee of $10.00 and you are allowed up to three dogs. We give to the owners when they check in a doggy bag which has some treats, plastic bag for poo and a sign for their door that there is a dog in the room. When I lived in Florida they use to charge a per dog fee for every night which can become very expensive.

I love having the dogs here but it is unfortunate that some people take advantage of it. Many times we have to shut down a room since the floor is covered in dog hair and the carpet has urination smell. I wish all dog owners would care for their dog like they were home. Would they let their dog pee in their house?
